Wyncot Kennels and Cattery is an established top class canine and feline boarding facility of many years’ standing and we enjoy an enviable local reputation.
Wyncot is a family owned and family run business fortunate enough to be set in nine acres of rural Kent (doggy heaven if we are so bold to say, with over 3 acres of fully fenced exercise paddocks for our guests to roam free). With far-reaching views across the Wye Downs, adjacent to the National Nature Reserve it is difficult to believe we are so handy for the M20.
Accommodation at Wyncot is modern and purpose built and is eminently suitable for puppies and kittens through to pets in their golden years. We pay particular attention to settling-in guests that have not stayed at Wyncot before (or in some cases any form of boarding establishment before). We would be pleased to administer any medication your pet requires as well as attend to any other special needs. Since all the accommodation at Wyncot has been purpose built (not a modified farm or other structures) this gives us the capability to offer multi-occupancy facilities for dog families in one large unit, or indeed to house larger breeds in a unit of a size more suited for their needs. Our feline guests also have the facility for larger family groups to be housed together in one unit.
The luxury boarding kennels have 50% more space than standard kennels and have been designed from the outset to match the needs of all dogs irrespective of size. Fitted throughout with underfloor heating this indoor facility allows us to control the temperature at the touch of a button. The building is sited within our fully fenced exercise paddocks so the guests just have to walk through a door to feel the grass under their feet and the wind in their fur as they run freely around the paddocks.
We are cat owners ourselves and fully understand how discerning our feline companions can be, therefore our cattery is a purpose built facility well away and out of sight of the kennels. The cattery building is light and airy with a fully open front for maximum view of the garden so that our guests can watch the wildlife. Each unit has two rooms: a daytime area, with scratching post, toys and a daybed with wide double shelf, an upper shelf for the gregarious types where the resident guest can sit and view the gardens and wildlife and a lower shelf which acts like an igloo where shy cats can feel safe, but still keep their eyes on the world. There is also a heated sleeping area with upper level bed, window and litter tray, etc.
